Pre-Team Program

Our Pre-Team program is designed for girls who demonstrate strong team potential—both physically and mentally. The emphasis is on mastering fundamental skills, building strength, and improving flexibility to create a solid foundation for future success in gymnastics.

The goal of the Pre-Team program is to prepare athletes for advancement into either our Development Program (Levels 2–10) or our Xcel Program (Bronze–Sapphire). Move-ups are determined by the coaching staff based on skill readiness, work ethic, and overall progress.

Pre-Team requires consistent attendance and dedication. Athletes will also participate in a few in-house events, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills and gain experience performing in front of judges and an audience—an important step toward competitive gymnastics.

Development Program

Athletes in this program compete on all four Olympic apparatus: Bars, Beam, Floor, and Vault. Our program follows the USA Gymnastics (USAG) Development Program, which is the national system used to prepare gymnasts for higher-level competitive opportunities, including collegiate gymnastics and elite tracks. Progression begins at Level 2 and advances through Level 10, with each level increasing in difficulty and skill requirements. To move up, gymnasts must attain specific skills and receive coach approval.
  • Levels 2–5: Compulsory Levels – All gymnasts at a given level perform identical routines that are designed to build strong foundational skills.

  • Level 6 and above: Optional Levels – Athletes have personalized routines created within USAG guidelines, allowing for individual strengths and artistry to shine.

The USAG Development Program is highly time-intensive, requires consistent training, and involves a substantial financial commitment. It provides a clear path for gymnasts who are serious about advancing in the sport and pursuing competitive goals.

The MSGA Team Program is a year-round commitment, running from June through May each year. This structure allows athletes to train consistently and prepare for the competitive season. Move-up evaluations take place in the spring, and decisions are based on skill readiness, performance, and coach recommendations.

Xcel Program

The USAG Xcel Program is an excellent option for gymnasts who love the excitement of competition but prefer greater flexibility in training hours and financial commitment. It allows athletes to continue progressing in the sport at their own pace, with routines tailored to highlight their unique abilities. Athletes in Xcel compete on all four Olympic apparatus: Bars, Beam, Floor, and Vault, but the requirements are more adaptable, allowing gymnasts to showcase their strengths and creativity while still following USAG guidelines.

The Xcel Program consists of six divisions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond & Sapphire
